Live from Moscow Music Expo 2025:Monitoring & DJ Headphones and Stage Mics Steal the Spotlight as All-in-One Audio Solutions Draw Attention

2026 05/28

The annual audio industry event "ProSound & Music Expo 2025" concluded its four-day run today at the Sokolniki Exhibition Center. Despite the complex international landscape, the exhibition attracted over 300 brands from Russia, China, Turkey, and other CIS countries. Notably, the sections dedicated to home recording and live performance equipment saw the highest foot traffic, with several core product upgrades becoming the focus of heated discussions among attendees.

In the professional monitoring field, booths featuring Monitoring & DJ Headphones consistently drew long queues. Many manufacturers introduced closed-back models optimized for high-noise environments, emphasizing improved isolation and frequency accuracy for live electronic music and broadcast monitoring. A DJ from St. Petersburg commented after a trial: "The low-frequency response and long-wear comfort of the new headphones are noticeably better — a critical factor for club sets lasting over four hours."

Vocal capture technology also saw significant updates. In the live sound section, Vocal Stage Microphones gained favor among sound engineers due to their feedback rejection and rugged metal grilles. Meanwhile, the condenser microphone zone showcased new products featuring Large Diaphragm Capsules. The increased sensitivity and transient response of these microphones allow them to serve dual purposes for studio recording and live podcasting.

Accessory manufacturers were equally competitive. Shock Mounts and Pop Filters were demonstrated in modular quick-release setups. A kit designed to fit common large-diaphragm microphones — capable of addressing both low-frequency vibration and plosive issues — was added to the purchase lists of many independent music producers. The Condenser Microphones complete display area integrated all of the above accessories: from large-diaphragm capsules to adjustable shock mounts and dual-layer metal pop filters, demonstrating a complete professional vocal recording chain.

An event spokesperson concluded: "This year, attendees are no longer focused solely on specs. They care about signal chain consistency — from the capsule to the monitoring headphones. Whether it's a vocalist on stage or a podcaster in a bedroom studio, everyone wants broadcast-quality results at a reasonable cost." According to exhibitor surveys, on-site transaction volume reached 85% of pre-pandemic (2019) levels, with Russian importers actively signing supply agreements with Asian manufacturers for 2026.
